The Houston Astros already upgraded their starting rotation once before the MLB Trade Deadline, acquiring Oakland A's veteran ace Scott Kazmir earlier in the week. However, that doesn't mean their done adding arms to the mix.
Per Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe, Texas Rangers righty Yovani Gallardo could be on the Astros' radar if the Rangers carry through with a blockbuster swap for Cole Hamels or David Price
"The Rangers could deal Gallardo and upgrade to Price or Hamels," Cafardo wrote in an article posted on Sunday. "Gallardo has had no trouble transitioning to the American League. You could see the Astros, Tigers, Dodgers, Orioles, or Blue Jays being suitors."
Such a potential deal could be more feasible of this report by FOX Sports' Jon Morosi bears fruit:

Gallardo, 29, is 7-9 with a 3.19 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 83 strikeouts in 121.1 innings pitched (21 starts).
