The University of Hawai’i basketball team will play another non-conference game this weekend, and it will be against another local NCAA Division II program.
The Rainbow Warriors will host Hawai’i-Hilo this Saturday, 7:00 p.m., at the SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center. Fans will not be allowed to attend the game, but it will be televised on Spectrum Sports.
The Warriors (1-0) defeated Hawai’i Pacific, 83-50, last Friday. UH-Hilo will be playing its first game of this season.
Travel restrictions and other hurdles created by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic have made it nearly impossible for UH to schedule NCAA Division I opponents during the non-conference season.
