At first glance, the University of Hawai’i basketball team would appear to be a favorite in Saturday’s Big West Conference game at Cal Poly.
For one, the Warriors are 17-3 overall and in second place in the Big West at 6-1. They have won nine of their last 10 games, and that includes three road wins, and a previous home victory over this same Cal Poly team.
Cal Poly, on the other hand, is 8-13 overall and tied for the bottom of the Big West at 2-6. The Mustangs have lost seven of their last nine games, and are on a three-game losing streak.
