The University of Hawai’i basketball team has reached the halfway point of the Big West Conference regular season. With a 7-3 record, the Rainbow Warriors are in fourth place (out of 11), but are only 1.5 games behind first-place UC Santa Barbara (8-1).
Hawai’i’s three losses were by single-digits: at Cal State Fullerton (79-72 in OT), at UC Irvine (76-68) and home against UC Santa Barbara (65-64). By the same token, six of the Warriors’ seven wins were by single-digits.
“We’re a team at this point of the year has had ups and downs, individuals have had ups and downs,” Hawai’i head coach Eran Ganot said.
