The University of Hawai’i basketball team stayed close in the first half, but came up short in a 73-54 loss to the Brisbane Bullets in an exhibition game in Brisbane, Australia. It was the first of four exhibition games on the Rainbow Warriors’ 2018 Down Under Tour.
Eddie Stansberry scored 10 points and Dawson Carper scored nine for the Warriors. The game was played at Sir John Pidgeon Sports Complex, which sold out all tickets (approximately 1,000) prior to the start of the game.
Hawai’i trailed by just four points, 24-20, at halftime.
