For the fourth baseball game in a row, UH-Hilo outhit Concordia, but for the fourth consecutive outing the Eagles scored more runs, sweeping the Vulcans with a 14-6 win Monday afternoon in Irvine, Calif.
Concordia improved to 7-5 in the Pacific West Conference with the win and moved to 10-13 overall. UH Hilo fell to 3-7 in PWC play and to 3-9 on the year.
The Eagles settled matters early today, scoring eight runs in the first inning. They rattled off five hits against two Vulcan pitchers, and also took advantage of two walks, a hit batter, a wild pitch and a UHH error.
