Amadou Sow scored 30 points on 12-of-13 shooting to lead UC Santa Barbara to a 76-66 victory over Hawai’i in a Big West Conference basketball game on Thursday at The Thunderdome in Santa Barbara, Calif.
Sow was unstoppable in the second half, when he scored 24 points and helped the Gauchos fend off Hawai’i’s rally attempt. He also grabbed six rebounds as UCSB out-rebounded the Warriors, 33-23.
The Rainbow Warriors had their four-game winning streak snapped and dropped to 14-7 overall. They remain in second place in the Big West at 5-2. UC Irvine, which beat UC Davis on Thursday, is in first place at 7-1.
