The University of Hawai’i basketball team fell behind early and could not catch up in a xx-xx road loss at UC Irvine on Thursday at the Bren Events Center in Irvine, Calif.
The Rainbow Warriors dropped to 14-5 overall and is now in fourth place in the Big West Conference at 4-2. The Anteaters improved to 13-6 overall and is tied for second place at 6-1.
Kamaka Hepa had a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Warriors. JoVon McClanahan added 14 points, Noel Coleman scored 13, and Samuta Avea scored nine for Hawai’i, which is 1-2 on the road against BWC opponents.
