The “one game at a time” mentality has worked wonders for the University of Hawai’i basketball team this season, but truth be told, February 11 has been a target date for a while.
The Warriors will host UC Irvine on Thursday, February 11, in a much-anticipated and hyped game for first place in the Big West Conference. The showdown is expected to start around 8:00 p.m. at the Stan Sheriff Center, following a women’s game between Hawai’i and Long Beach State.
Hawai’i is 18-3 overall and 7-1 in the conference; UCI is 18-6 and 7-1.
“It’s just a big game for us,” junior forward Aaron Valdes said.
