University of Hawai’i senior guard Eddie Stansberry has shot his way into another basketball award from the Big West Conference.
Stansberry, a 6-foot-3 senior, was named the Big West Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week on Monday. He was honored less than 24 hours after scoring a game-high 23 points in the Rainbow Warriors’ 94-73 rout of Samford on Sunday. He also recorded five rebounds, four assists, two steals and a blocked shot.
Stansberry made five 3-pointers in the win, and set a new UH game record with 16 3-point attempts. He is averaging 19.7 points per game this season, and has scored 20 or more in seven of the team’s 10 games.
