Eddie Stansberry’s performance on both ends of the court in the University of Hawai’i’s 80-75 victory over CSUN last Saturday did not go unnoticed. He was named the Big West Conference Player of the Week on Monday.
It is a historic achievement for Stansberry, who received the award for the third time this season. He is now the first UH basketball player to be named Big West Conference Player of the Week three times in the same season. UH has been competing in the Big West since the 2012-13 season.
Stansberry, a 6-foot-3 senior guard, scored 22 points, including five 3-pointers, in the Rainbow Warriors’ epic comeback victory over CSUN.
