The addition of forward Gibson Johnson to the University of Hawai’i basketball team was officially announced on Thursday.
Johnson, a 6-foot-8 starter on the junior college national championship team at Salt Lake Community College (Utah) last season, will be a junior for the Warriors during the 2016-17 season.

HONOLULU – University of Hawai’i men’s basketball program welcomed its seventh prospect for the 2016-17 season as Salt Lake Community College forward Gibson Johnson signed on to join the Rainbow Warriors.
“Gibson is a winner, a tough player, and embodies all the qualities we look for in a student-athlete,” UH head coach Eran Ganot said.
