The University of Hawai’i will face Miami (Fla.) on the opening night of the 2017 Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic.
Pairings for the eight-team tournament were announced on Wednesday. This year’s tournament is scheduled for December 22, 23 and 25 at the Stan Sheriff Center.
Here is the schedule for December 22, with all four games scheduled to be televised nationally on ESPNU:
12:30 p.m. – Middle Tennessee vs. Princeton
2:30 p.m. – Akron vs. USC
6:00 p.m. – Davidson vs. New Mexico State
8:00 p.m. – Hawai’i vs. Miami
The Warriors finished 14-16 overall last season, but have six players with starting experience on the 2017-18 roster (Mike Thomas, Brocke Stepteau, Sheriff Drammeh, Leland Green, Jack Purchase and Gibson Johnson).
