A familiar name from the University of Hawai’i basketball team’s recent past is returning in a new role.
Michael Thomas was announced as an assistant coach for the Rainbow Warriors by head coach Eran Ganot on Monday. Thomas was a starting forward on the 2015-16 Hawai’i team that won the Big West Conference and advanced to the second round of the 2016 NCAA Tournament. He was also a three-year captain for the Warriors.
