Two University of Hawai’i players wrapped up play over the weekend in the FIBA U20 European Championship at Helsinki, Finland.
Incoming freshman forward Zigmars Raimo played a reserve role for Latvia, which finished in sixth place in the 16-team tournament for players age 20 and younger. He averaged 3.0 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.
Sweden, led by UH sophomore guard Sheriff Drammeh, finished in 10th place. Drammeh averaged team-highs of 17.6 points, 6.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game in the tournament. He did not play in Sweden’s final two games of the tournament.
