The University of Hawai’i basketball team improved its shooting from the day before, but it still was not enough to overcome CSU Bakersfield.
The Roadrunners took control of the game midway through the first half and maintained the momentum in an 83-72 victory over the Rainbow Warriors.
CSUB improved to 9-4 overall and 5-1 in the Big West Conference with the two-game sweep at Hawai’i. The Warriors dropped to 3-3 overall and 1-3 in the conference with their third consecutive loss.
After shooting just 33 percent from the field in Friday’s loss to CSUB, the Warriors shot 49 percent on Saturday.
