Sustainability was once again a nagging problem for the UH-Hilo volleyball team on the road.
The Vulcans hit only .130 with 17 errors and only 29 kills Friday to lose for the second consecutive night in Southern California, 25-16, 25-18, 25-19 to Pacific West Conference newcomer Concordia in Irvine.
“We couldn’t sustain anything to keep a run going,” UH-Hilo coach Tino Reyes said in a university release.
Besides the lack offense, a familiar issue for the Vulcans (4-5, 2-4 PacWest) crept in as well.
“We couldn’t serve or pass with any kind consistency that we need,” Reyes said.
