HONOLULU — Max Wittek threw for a career-best 272 yards Saturday night, and Hawaii pulled away in the second half to beat UC Davis 47-27.
Wittek connected with Marcus Kemp five times for 119 yards and Devan Stubblefield six times for 108 yards — each with a touchdown catch. The former USC Trojans quarterback was 17 of 24 with no interceptions in his third start as a Rainbow Warrior as Hawaii (2-1) bounced back from its 38-0 loss to No. 1 Ohio State last Saturday.
Paul Harris carried eleven times for 147 yards, including a 95-yard TD in the third quarter.
