Cameron Enriques smacked nine of his 29 kills in the fifth set Tuesday to carry Ka’u to a five-set victory against Waiakea in Pahala.
Brian Gascon added 12 kills for the Trojans (9-3), which moved a step closer to an automatic berth to the HHSAA boys volleyball tournament. Ka’u earned the top seed at the Big Island Interscholastic Federation Division II tournament, and it will own the outright regular-season title with a win in its regular-season finale at home Saturday or a loss by Konawaena against Hilo at home on Friday night.
