From early in the morning until late in the afternoon, it was Kalei Tolentino-Perry’s day.
Logan Mizuba had himself a good one as well, and as usual Hilo had its way with Waiakea in the BIIF boys soccer semifinals.
Tolentino-Perry realized a childhood dream when he signed a scholarship with Division I San Jose State, then he authored the Vikings to a 3-1 victory against the Warriors at Hilo Bayfront, giving Hilo yet another shot at five-time defending Division I champion Kealakehe.
“It seems like it was all meant to be,” said Tolentino-Perry, who had a hand in all three goals and accounted for the go-ahead score.
