The remainder of the Big West Conference Championship Tournament, which includes the entire men’s tournament, was cancelled on Thursday. The conference made the announcement, citing continued and growing concerns about the COVID-19 virus.
The men’s tournament was scheduled to begin on Thursday with four quarterfinal games. The University of Hawai’i was supposed to face UC Davis at 8:30 p.m. Pacific Time (5:30 p.m. Hawai’i Time).
After the decision to cancel the tournament, the Rainbow Warriors changed their flight plans and are expected to return to Honolulu tonight.
No other details about the decision, or the NCAA Tournament, were announced by the Big West.
