Underdog Vuls take on big brother UH

When the UH-Hilo men’s basketball team plays big brother UH-Manoa, a lopsided loss is usually the result.

The Rainbow Warriors (2-2) are undefeated in eight previous meetings and have beaten the Division II Vuls (1-2) by an average margin of 25.4 points.

UH will play three games in a six-day stretch, starting with UH-Hilo, set for 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Stan Sheriff Center.

The game will be broadcast live on OCSports, channel 16. It will also be aired on KHLO AM 850 radio.

The matchup marks the fifth regular-season meeting in the last six years between the ‘Bows and the Vuls, who lost 86-67 last year.
