Eran Ganot, head coach of the University of Hawai’i basketball team, yesterday made his first public statement since beginning an indefinite and undisclosed medical leave of absence on November 6.
Ganot posted the following on his social media accounts:
A special Mahalo for the incredible outpouring of support during this difficult time. It has certainly pushed me through some tough moments. As I said, upon my leave, I have a plan and I will be back. The plan has been going well and am looking forward to making my return soon. My family and I are so grateful for the tremendous support we have received from all over, including the great people in Hawaii, UH, our administration, and our medical team.
