The University of Hawai’i basketball team announced “big news” on Thursday, when the signings of three new recruits became official.
Seven-footer Dawson Carper, 6-11 Mate Colina, and 6-11 Owen Hulland each signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Rainbow Warriors in 2018. Colina and Hulland are teammates at the Basketball Australia Centre of Excellence; Carper is a senior at Rampart High School in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Colina is expected to join the Warriors in mid-season and enroll in classes at UH starting in January 2018, but it remains to be determined if he will actually play in games at the end of this current season.
