Here’s another hit for the Green Bay Packers and quarterback Aaron Rodgers from their NFC Championship game loss to the Atlanta Falcons. It’s one you can be sure Rodgers isn’t pleased about.
The NFL fined Rodgers $9,115 for a facemask penalty that pulled the helmet off Falcons cornerback Robert Alford.
That’s walking around money for Rodgers, but he was quick to gripe about the penalty after the game. So surely, he’s going to be ticked about the fine.
“I just told the ref, ‘You know, he picked up the flag when they looked at the JumboTron when I scrambled and did kind of a weird in-between forward and front slide and the guy hit me in the head, and they picked up that penalty [flag],'” Rodgers said after the game.
