Ron Wolf’s draft for the ages — the one that eventually helped the Green Bay Packers become champions — came in 1995.
That year, the Packers’ general manager selected five players that became starters within a year. That entire quintet played vital roles in helping Green Bay take the final step towards greatness and win the 1996 Super Bowl.
First round pick Craig Newsome immediately became a lockdown cornerback, third rounder Antonio Freeman developed into a No. 1 receiver, while third round fullback William Henderson, third round linebacker Brian Williams and seventh round offensive guard Adam Timmerman all quickly became above average starters.
