The Green Bay Packers may need to sign a wide receiver to get through the preseason, and they are looking into outside options.
The team reported workouts for receivers Donnie Corley (Texas Southern), Damonte Coxie (Memphis) and Isaac Whitney (USC) on Friday, per the league’s transaction wire.
The preseason starts Saturday against the Houston Texans, but the Packers are currently dealing with injuries to receivers Equanimeous St. Brown, Juwann Winfree and Devin Funchess, and Chris Blair just returned to practice from an injury.
The Packers could sit Davante Adams, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb during the preseason, leaving the position lacking the depth necessary for exhibition contests.
