The old adage in the National Football League is, don’t overreact to individual preseason results. So many players have struck lightning during preseason contests over the years, only to severely fizzle out during regular season play or not make the roster entirely. With that as a backdrop, it would be an overreaction to proclaim Green Bay Packers running back Emanuel Wilson as an up-and-coming running back ready to take the league by storm. A massive overreaction, actually. Instead, a proper reaction to Wilson’s recent performance (more on that below) might be: will Wilson secure the RB3 spot on the initial 53-man roster for head coach Matt LaFleur’s squad?
