Why the Packers Head to Dallas as Underdogs

The Green Bay Packers played like the favorites they were in their 38-13 win over the New York Giants in the wild card round. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers finished with 25 completions out of his 40 attempts, connecting with Randall Cobb for three TDs, and hitting Davante Adams for another score. The Packers’ running game was more modest – 75 yards and one touchdown – but still better than the Giants’ production.

Bettors seemingly can’t go wrong with the Packers lately. Green Bay is 6-1 against the spread and 7-0 straight-up in their last seven games.

That’s all well and good, but this is a case in which it could be argued that the winner is really the loser.
