The Packers have to make a roster move this week to add the suspended defensive lineman back to the active roster.
By sitting out the Packers' week one game against the Chicago Bears, defensive end Datone Jones has served the one-game suspension that the NFL levied against him for a violation of the substance abuse policy. As such, Jones will be coming off the Reserve/Suspended list and back onto the active roster. That means that the Packers will need to make one roster cut before he returns to practice.
The knee-jerk reaction might be to look through the list of inactive players from Sunday to find the man who will be cut loose, but due to positional needs, that may not be the way the Packers go.
