Nobody needs to be told that a good scouting combine or pro day doesn't guarantee success in the NFL. But a good score in those drills doesn't hurt, either.
Using a metric called Relative Athletic Score, we can go back a couple of decades and identify the most-athletic players the Green Bay Packers have drafted. Some turned out to be pretty great. Some, not so much.
What is Relative Athletic Score when it comes to measuring NFL scouting combine numbers?
Relative Athletic Score, a metric proposed by Kent Lee Platte, combines all the categories measured at the NFL scouting combine (height, weight, wingspan, drill exercises) and puts them into one aggregate number that's quite simply a measure of 0-10.
