Packers fans are getting excited to see former All-Pro OLB Za’Darius Smith back on the field for the first time since Week 1. On Tuesday, coach Matt LaFleur said he is “hopeful” to get Smith and All-Pro CB Jaire Alexander back on the field Saturday against the 49ers.
Za’Darius returned to practice last week and is easing back into game shape. Coach LaFleur said Tuesday, “They’ll (Jaire & Z) be out there today and we’ll see how they react over the course of the week.”
Za’Darius Smith’s absence this season has been filled by the emergence of Rashan Gary, and reemergence of Preston Smith.
