The Green Bay Packers are engaging in trade talks involving cornerback Jaire Alexander, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The two sides have clearly decided to part ways after injuries wrecked Alexander's season during three of the last four years.
The Packers drafted Alexander in the first round in 2018 and signed him to the league's richest cornerback contract of all-time in 2022. He was a Pro Bowler and second-team All-Pro in 2020 and 2022.
The problem? Alexander missed 13 games in 2021, 10 games in 2023 and 10 games in 2024.
