The Packers officially announced the signing of quarterback Alex McGough on Wednesday.
McGough bounced around the NFL for 4 years, from the Seahawks, to the Jaguars, to the Texans, then back to the Seahawks. Most of his time in the NFL was spent on practice squads, but he found his rhythm in the USFL.
In his first year with the Birmingham Stallions, he was a part time starter who came into the championship game and led the team to a title. In his second season, he led the league in completion percentage, touchdown passes, and quarterback rating in the regular season (winning league MVP honors along the way), then threw 8 touchdowns and 0 interceptions over 2 playoff games to lead the team to another title.
