PHILADELPHIA − The Eagles found a benefit to finishing as the second best team in the NFC: they were able to use the regular-season finale as a week of rest for almost all of their starters, and especially their key players.
So as the Eagles face the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card round of the NFL playoffs Sunday, they should be well rested with an extra week to heal their bumps and bruises. It should be an advantage over the Packers, who not only played their starters, but saw two of them suffer injuries.
