Extra playing time for the young players might be important moving forward
The Green Bay Packers season is essentially over. The team sits at 3-6, and they would need to win at least six of their next eight games to have a realistic shot to get to the playoffs. That scenario doesn't look probable considering how bad the team - and especially the offense - is playing, plus how difficult the remainder of the schedule is.
The trade deadline has also passed, and even though they should have been sellers, they didn't make any moves - and the moves they wanted involved using future capital to acquire weapons for Aaron Rodgers, as the Packers reportedly tried to trade for DJ Moore, Chase Claypool, and Darren Waller.
