Stop me if you’ve heard this one before, but the Packers have some question marks in the secondary this offseason.
The seemingly annual retooling of the defensive backfield centers on the safety position this time around, with Adrian Amos and, potentially, Darnell Savage headed out the door. Who will replace one or both of them? That’s not clear, but it’s certainly true that the Packers are going to need to add bodies at safety.
This probably isn’t that novel of a problem. You need a lot of good to very good players to field a competent secondary, and the numbers game almost necessarily means you’ll have some level of need at safety or corner almost every offseason.
