A lot of Romeo Doubs discourse focuses on what he isn’t instead of what he is.
Doubs isn’t the most explosive wide receiver. He isn’t the biggest or the fastest. He isn’t even the most productive. But he is consistent and reliable, and the ways in which he does produce are very valuable.
When Doubs gets the ball, good things are happening. He’s produced a first down on 18 of his 23 catches so far this year, the highest rate on the team. He has also caught a solid 67.6% of his targets this year, which ranks just third on the team among players with at least 20 targets, but that’s only because of exceptional success from both Jayden Reed and Tucker Kraft in that area this year.
