The Packers’ defense was better in 2024. That much seems obvious.
But it seems just as obvious that they’re still going to need some help heading into the 2025 season. It won’t be anything as drastic as the complete overhaul Brian Gutekunst did on the safety position last offseason, but there are several areas of the defense that might need a minor to moderate remodel.
The cornerback room is a good place to start. To say things concerning Jaire Alexander’s situation are uncertain is drastically understating it. It’s a fair bet that he won’t be with the Packers next year, and even if he is, I don’t think anybody’s counting on him to play a full season or even most of one.
