The comparisons are inevitable. Jordan Love succeeded Aaron Rodgers who succeeded Brett Favre. It’s natural the third will be compared to the previous two.
Do those comparisons matter? Not at all, really. Circumstances differ dramatically between Love and his predecessors, and even if he never becomes the Hall of Famer they were, he can still be very good and win a Super Bowl. The ultimate question is really whether or not Love can be the best version of himself.
But the comparisons are compelling, even if they don’t necessarily make sense. Where did Love succeed where Favre and Rodgers failed?
