Wednesday Cheese Curds: Devin Funchess signing gives receiver group a boost

A few weeks into free agency and the Green Bay Packers have finally landed a veteran wide receiver.

Former Indianapolis Colts and Carolina Panthers wide out Devin Funchess will be joining Green Bay per numerous reports yesterday and while he wasn’t the biggest name out there, he does make sense for the Packers.

He’s big (6’4” and 225 lbs.), relatively young (26 in May) and fairly priced we assume. He’s also a physical wide receiver than Aaron Rodgers should love.

The downside is he struggled with injuries the past two seasons only appearing in only one game last year for the Colts and missed two games for Carolina in 2018.
