We often hear at this time of year that the defense is “ahead” of the offense. That’s usually not too surprising; defenses tend to have simpler installs than offense, and since they’re mostly just reacting to the offense in practice, they’ve got a quicker route to getting all their ducks in a row.
Maybe that’s the case for this year’s Packers, or maybe Jeff Hafley is onto something, because the defense has been the story through the first two days of training camp. The defense and its strong, attacking tendencies is turning heads, and hopefully that lasts into the regular season and beyond.
