Though he probably should, Bart Starr rarely gets mentioned in the conversation about the greatest quarterbacks of all time. And though he’s indisputably among the greatest Packers of his era, he’s sometimes outshined in the history books by some of the bigger personalities of his teammates.
But even if his legacy on the field can be easy to miss, few players in Packers history can match his impact off it. Along with his wife, Cherry, Starr used the platform afforded him by his gridiron success to help and uplift others. Now, a new museum in Wisconsin will highlight some of that work along with bringing more attention to the lifelong love between Bart and Cherry.
