For fans of football in the state of Wisconsin, there isn’t a better story than Wisconsin Badger offensive linemen traveling north and playing for the Green Bay Packers.
There was almost the story of defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard doing the same, though he obviously chose to stay and continue coaching at his alma mater.
But after April’s NFL draft, former Badgers Cole Van Lanen (drafted) and Jon Dietzen (UDFA) got the opportunity to begin their NFL careers up north in Green Bay.
Both figure to serve as depth roles on the Packer offensive line, that is if they both make the roster.
