Outside linebacker Za’Darius Smith moved within the NFC North this offseason, so he’ll have the opportunity to play his former team, the Green Bay Packers, twice with his new team, the Minnesota Vikings, during the 2022 NFL regular season.
“It’s not weird,” Smith said at a press conference last week. “It’s pretty cool because we can get a chance to play them twice a year. It’s going to be good to see them guys again when I get a chance to meet them on the field.”
The Greenville High School alumnus signed with the Vikings after the Packers released him on March 14 with one season remaining on a four-year, $66 million contract.
