Can we just skip week one in the future?
We shouldn’t be shocked that the Green Bay Packers offense was struggling to establish a style and identity. The top three receivers from last year were missing from this game. The best two offensive linemen were as well. It was clear from the start that this was a game where the defense had to keep the Packers in it until the offense could figure something out.
There’s the real shock. This defense, so overhyped through the offseason, laid a giant egg. They could stop nothing. It looked like DC Joe Barry had concocted some sort of gimmick defense to try to confuse Kirk Cousins.
