Green Bay — Michael John McCarthy has undoubtedly joined Curly Lambeau, Vince Lombardi and Mike Holmgren on the Green Bay Packers' Mount Rushmore of head coaches.
McCarthy, beginning his 10th season in Green Bay, is the second-longest tenured coach in franchise history. McCarthy's .656 winning percentage in the regular season is fourth in team history. He's guided the Packers to five NFC North titles, two NFC Championship Games and one Super Bowl title during his nine seasons. And if the Packers remain among the NFL's elite, the 51-year-old McCarthy might be around for another decade.
But the Packers' annual woes on special teams remain a gruesome black eye on the McCarthy era.
