Tuesday Cheese Curds: Youthful Packers will need development

The story the Packers are telling so far this offseason is clear: they want to get younger. And so far, they’ve achieved that. Trading Aaron Rodgers moves the needle quite a bit, and moving on from other long-in-the-tooth players like Marcedes Lewis and Mason Crosby helps quite a bit in that department as well.

Getting younger has the additional step of requiring growth from within, though, and the extent to which the Packers’ young players grow will determine their success both in 2023 and beyond. The Packers’ coaching staff has their work cut out for them, and even if the Packers won’t be contenders this year, the long-term stakes are high.
