After general manager Brian Gutekunst made the controversial decision to release wide receiver Jordy Nelson, the Green Bay Packers suddenly became very thin at a very important position.
The acquisition of tight ends Jimmy Graham and Marcedes Lewis helped offset some of that lack of depth, but it was Gutekunst’s selection of three wide receivers in April’s draft that really was meant to plug the holes on the roster.
The problem now is that except for Davante Adams and Randall Cobb, the Packers are very raw and inexperienced at receiver.
