Trio moving forward after off-field troubles, McCarthy says

Green Bay — Sandwiched between his upbeat comments about winning a Super Bowl and the joy of coming to work at Lambeau Field, Packers head coach Mike McCarthyaddressed the lingering cloud of off-the-field issues during his season-opening news conference Wednesday.

A trio of players — Letroy Guion, Andrew Quarless, Datone Jones — had run-ins with the law between January and July, testing the patience of McCarthy and his staff.

Jones, a first-round draft pick by the Packers in 2013, was suspended one game by the NFL after being ticketed for possession of marijuana in January.
